Copper Foil Tapes for EMI RFI shielding, one of the pure metal foil tapes used to shield cables. This Copper foil tape features an extremely malleable, suitable for industrial and electrical applications including EMI/RFI (Electromagnetic Interference / Radio Frequency Interference) shielding. It is commonly used for reflecting, wrapping, masking, sealing, and other applications. They are chemically resistant, also thermally conductive for heating/cooling efficiency.

In the wire and cable industry, for the critical shielding application, Copper foil tapes are recommended for electrostatic shielding due to copper having a higher electrical conductivity than aluminum. The HV cables may need some Copper foil tapes whose thickness is over 0.050mm,  but the data communication cables may need some Copper foil tapes whose thickness is 0.004 to 0.050mm.

Copper foil tape is chemically resistant and may or may not have a liner. The laminated lining material can be Polyester(PET), PolyPropylene(PP), Polyimide(PI), and Poly tetra fluoroethylene(PTFE) film, depending on the customer’s project and applications.

Copper foil tapes are available in standard and custom slit widths as a self-wound product or with a liner. The tape is available with an acrylic adhesive which can be conductive or non-conductive. The tapes have a multitude of uses in electronic design and production.

Slitting / Cutting

WINDING / PACKING

After the Copper Foil Tapes are slit, the tape can be packed in PADS / SPOOLS. Available thicknesses range from 50μm through 508μm (0.002 through 0.020 inches), and widths range from 0.6mm through 100m (0.024 through 3.94 inches) or customized.

Rolls are usually set on a standard 30mm, 3 in and 6 in or customized
